News Broadway Across America Welcomes Miles C. Wilkin, Founder of Pace, as New CEO Miles C. Wilkin has been named CEO of Broadway Across America and will assume the position immediately, John Gore, owner and CEO of Key Brand Entertainment Inc., announced on March 31.

Broadway Across America is owned and operated by Key Brand. BAA is a major producer and presenter of live theatrical events in U.S. and Canadian markets. It presents touring Broadway musicals and plays, family productions and other live events throughout a network of 43 North American cities.

Wilkin, an expert in the touring world, brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry.

Steve Winton, a BAA executive for 18 years, will continue on with the company as president, reporting to the new CEO.

Wilkin's executive career began as president, CEO and founder of Pace Theatrical Group, Inc. where from 1982-1992 he created the network that has become Broadway Across America, known today as the single most significant component of North American touring theatre. He served as the president and CEO of Pace Entertainment Company (parent company) from 1992-1996. Pace Theatrical Group was acquired and became SFX Theatrical Group, where he served as chairman and CEO from 1996-2000. Clear Channel Entertainment acquired the company in 2000 and Wilkin crossed the Atlantic to become CEO of Clear Channel Entertainment Europe from 2000-2003 and returned to New York to serve as executive vice president of Clear Channel Entertainment from October 2003-September 2004 and COO from September 2004-September 2005.

Wilkin received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the League of American Theatres and Producers/The Broadway League and has won six Tony Awards as a producer. Gore said in a statement, "Miles Wilkin is a visionary whose understanding of live theatrical entertainment across the globe is unsurpassed. He designed the prototype as we know it for presenting live theatre across North America. We are extremely fortunate to have the original trailblazer back in the saddle."

Wilkin stated, "What most excites me about this new position is that since I was last involved with the company Broadway Across America has evolved, the very nature of live theatrical entertainment has evolved and I have evolved. To have the chance to revisit it with objectivity is a rare opportunity. Over the past year since Key Brand acquired Broadway Across America, John Gore and his team have reinvigorated this company and restored its ambition and vitality. I look forward to continuing that vitality and to many rewarding years ahead."

Broadway Across America is owned and operated by Key Brand Entertainment, which is led by John Gore (chief executive officer), Thomas B. McGrath (chairman), Beth Williams (chief operating officer & head of production) and Liam Lynch (chief financial officer).

In addition to presenting, Broadway Across America is also "dedicated to the development and production of new and diverse live theatre for productions on Broadway, across America and throughout the world."

Current and upcoming productions include the revivals of West Side Story, Blithe Spirit and Hair; Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Dora the Explorer on tour and the upcoming Minsky's.
