News Broadway Actors Make Short "Cinderella" Film For Disability Awareness Stanley Bahorek (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Amazing Grace) has written and produced the short film "Sent By Hand," inspired by the Cinderella fairytale, for the 48 hour Disability Film Challenge.

The cast of the short film, directed by James Matthew Daniel, features Alexandria Wailes (Big River, Children of a Lesser God), Jubil Khan (Fete De La Nuit) and Steve Crowley. Co-creators Bahorek and Wailes met after performing together in Deaf West's production of Big River and together they founded the production company EUMEUS NYC.

"Sent By Hand" follows Charlie's mission to find his modern-day Cinderella after a chance encounter on the street. Co-creators Bahorek and Wailes met after performing together in Deaf West's production of Big River.

The Disability Film Challenge was founded in 2014 with the mission of empowering disabled and non-disabled filmmakers. Entries, made over 48 hours, must include elements that acknowledge disability to create higher awareness. Winners will be announced May 11.
