Saturday Night Live comedian Cecily Strong will host Broadway Acts for Women, a May 1 karaoke concert packed with Broadway stars, to benefit the reproductive rights organization A Is For.
Broadway Acts for Women will feature karaoke performances by the likes of Emmy nominee Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Tony Award winner Lena Hall, Emmy Award winner Martha Plimpton, Tony nominee Orfeh, Emmy nominee Tituss Burgess, Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita and many more. Dan Lipton will serve as musical director.
In addition to the ticket price, audience members will have a chance to bid on the above stars singing the song of their choice, plus a variety of auction and raffle items, including a private concert at your home by Tony winner Michael Cerveris, VIP tickets for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, a commissioned portrait by John Lithgow and more.
Doors open at 5:15 PM for the event at Feinstein's/54 Below, 254 West 54th St. in New York. The show will begin at 6:15 PM. Click here to order tickets, or call (646) 476-3551. Money raised at Broadway Acts for Women will go to A Is For, which is described as “a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing women’s reproductive rights and ending the stigma against abortion care. A is For envisions a world in which every woman has access to the full spectrum of reproductive choice.”
