Industry News Broadway Bets Poker Tournament Raises Record $295,100 for BC/EFA Steve Martin, Michael Cera, Billy Crudup, and Tony Yazbeck were among the players in the fourth annual Broadway poker tournament.

The fourth annual Broadway Bets poker tournament, which took placed May 14 at Sardi’s, raised a record $295,100 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Broadway stars, industry members, and theatre fans participated in the evening of Texas Hold ‘em that kicked off with 26 poker tables and 258 card players before 10 players ultimately reached the championship table.

Last year’s tournament raised $286,900.

This year’s celebrity players included Michael Cera, Josh Charles, Billy Crudup, Richard Kind, Brian Koppelman, Steve Martin, Toby Leonard Moore, Justin Sargent, Kyle Selig, Tony Yazbeck, and Rick Younger. They were joined by poker pros Andy Frankenberger and Maria Konnikova.
