News "Broadway By the Year" to Salute 1930, 1956, 1968 and 1978 in 2006 "Broadway By the Year," the acclaimed concert series created and hosted by producer Scott Siegel, will offer four evenings in 2006, each celebrating a different year on The Great White Way.

The new season will kick off March 6, 2006, at 8 PM with "The Broadway Musicals of 1930." The 1930 season featured the debuts of Girl Crazy, The New Yorkers, Strike Up the Band and The International Revue.

The 1956 Broadway season will be remembered on April 3. "The Broadway Musicals of 1956" will boast tunes from Bells Are Ringing, Candide, Li'l Abner, My Fair Lady, The Most Happy Fella and Mr. Wonderful.

On May 1 "The Broadway Musicals of 1968" will offer songs from Hair, Her First Roman, Zorba, Golden Rainbow and Promises, Promises, and "The Broadway Musicals of 1978" — presented June 19 — will include works from Ballroom, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, On the Twentieth Century, Eubie!, Working and Timbuktu.

The evenings will feature musical direction by Ross Patterson.

Town Hall is located at 123 W. 43rd Street (between 6th and 7th Avenues). Subscriptions for the entire series, priced $140-$160, are currently available by calling (212) 840-2824. Single tickets will go on sale Jan. 3, 2006.
