News Broadway Channel Teams With RCN Cable for Broadway Programming in the Manhattan Area The Broadway Channel has secured an agreement with RCN Cable New York to launch a linear cable channel in December that will air programming on Channel 76 in New York and Manhattan.

The RCN cable reach covers additional Manhattan hotels and approximately 85,000 home subscribers in the Manhattan area.

The programming will feature previews of both Broadway and Off-Broadway shows as well as a "Broadway Profiles" series, hosted by Tamsen Fadal, and "What's Hot on Broadway," hosted by Audra Lowe.

"Featuring star-studded opening night coverage to exclusive interviews with Broadway's biggest stars, our channel with RCN will create and inform audiences while promoting the shows and the stars that keep Broadway lights bright!" said Matthew Hege, vice president of The Broadway Channel, in a statement.

Bruce Abbott, the VP/GM of RCN New York City, added, "The addition of this network will help inform the theatregoing crowd and determine which shows are best for them based on their interest so they get the ultimate Broadway experience when they attend."
