Broadway for a New America: Standing Up for Marriage Equality and a Progressive Agenda for Change, hosted by Tony Award winner Jim Dale, is presented at Symphony Space in Manhattan April 13.

The 7 PM evening, which benefits the Jewish Alliance for Change, boasts appearances by Richard Belzer, John Bucchino, Malcolm Gets, Billy Stritch, Tovah Feldshuh, Ann Hampton Callaway, Mike Burstyn, Judy Kaye, Linda Lavin, David Green, Phyllis Newman, Seth Rudetsky, Melissa Errico, Nellie McKay, Anne Meara, Robert Klein, Alice Playten, Peter Jöback, the Broadway Tenors, the Broadway Boys, the New York City Gay Men's Chorus and the Accidentals. Sara Louise Lazarus directs the concert, which has musical direction by Lawrence Yurman. Kati Meister and Scott Denny are the producers.

Speakers for the event include Evan Wolfson, founder and director of Freedom to Marry; Steven Goldstein, chair of Garden State Equality; Ron Zacchi, executive director of Marriage Equality New York; Wayne Besen, founder and executive director of Truth Wins Out; and Rabbis J. Rolando Matalon and Marcelo Bronstein of Congregation B'nai Jeshurun, New York City.

The Jewish Alliance for Change, according to press notes, "plans to build on its achievements and mobilize the American public to fight for marriage equality and the realization of a progressive agenda for change. The benefit proceeds will go to The Jewish Alliance for Change for the continuation of its good work in support of important progressive issues."
