News Broadway Gals Head to North Shore Music Theatre This Spring Three women who have graced the Broadway stage will offer solo concerts at the North Shore Music Theatre this spring.

Linda Eder, Maureen McGovern and Lainie Kazan will all perform in concert at the Massachusetts theatre-in-the-round. McGovern, who starred on Broadway in the Sting 3 Penny Opera, will perform April 16; Jekyll & Hyde's Eder will go it solo May 19 and 20; and former Funny Girl Kazan will sing for her supper May 22. Show time for all concerts is 8 PM.

Linda Eder made her Broadway debut as Lucy in Jekyll & Hyde, garnering a Theatre World Award as well as Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations for her work. Also a concert and recording artist, her solo CDs include "Linda Eder," "And So Much More," "It's Time," "Gold" and "Broadway My Way." Eder is married to composer Frank Wildhorn, who penned the scores for Jekyll & Hyde, The Civil War and The Scarlet Pimpernel. Eder most recently starred in Wildhorn's latest musical, Camille Claudel, at Goodspeed.

Maureen McGovern's performing credits are numerous and varied. She appeared on Broadway in Nine, The Pirates of Penzance and 3 Penny Opera, and her many recordings include the Grammy-nominated "The Pleasure of His Company" and the Academy Award-winning song "The Morning After." She was also seen in the films "The Towering Inferno," "Airplane!" and "The Cure for Boredom," and she appeared at the Sundance Theatre in 1999 as Mme. Emery in the stage version of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg.

On Broadway Lainie Kazan was seen in The Happiest Girl in the World, Bravo Giovanni, Funny Girl, My Favorite Year and The Government Inspector. She received a Tony nomination for her performance in My Favorite Year. Kazan was also part of the cast of the film of "My Favorite Year," and her other screen credits include "Beaches" and "My Big Fat Greek Wedding."
