News Broadway Theaters Dim Lights for Acclaimed Actress Maureen Stapleton, March 14 Broadway theaters will dim their lights March 14 in honor of the passing of stage and screen actress Maureen Stapleton.

As usual, the lights of all Broadway marquees will dim for one minute at 8 PM. Tony, Emmy and Academy Award winner Stapleton passed away Mar 13. Stapleton earned a Tony Award for her originating role in The Rose Tattoo and The Gingerbread Lady. Other stage credits include The Little Foxes, Plaza Suite, Toys in the Attic and The Gin Game among others.
