News Broadway Under the Stars to Be Presented in Central Park For the first time, the annual Broadway Under the Stars concert, which celebrates Broadway and New York City, will be held in Central Park.

On June 26, the outdoor concert featuring a host of Broadway stars will be held on the Great Lawn in Central Park. Show time is 8:30 PM.

Broadway Under the Stars is being presented by Target and produced by the NYC & Company Foundation and The League of American Theatres and Producers, Inc.

In a statement League President Jed Bernstein said, "It is with great excitement that we are bringing Broadway Under the Stars, for the first time ever, to Central Park, making it possible for even more people to experience the magic of Broadway —and in such a glorious setting. This year’s concert will be a grand celebration of the Great White Way, demonstrating once again why Broadway is an integral part of the New York City summer outdoor experience, and one of New York City’s most treasured assets.”

A one-hour television special, featuring excerpts from the June 26 concert, will be broadcast on WCBS-TV July 15 at 7 PM ET.
