News Broadway Vet Bryan Batt Organizes New Orleans Relief Event Bryan Batt, a Broadway actor with numerous theatre credits, is organizing a relief project for his native city of New Orleans.

Since Hurricane Katrina devastated the city in August 2005, Batt has sought to lend aid to his home town through participation in a variety of fundraisers both in New York and New Orleans. Batt is also the owner of Hazelnut, a gift shop focusing on home accessories located on Magazine Street in downtown New Orleans. In 2005, he organized the "Magazine Street Retail Relief" event to help local businesses. The second annual such happening will occur on Nov. 4.

"Magazine Street Retail Relief" will feature jazz music and a variety of festivities, all meant to benefit the stores on Magazine Street, a six-mile stretch of boutiques, galleries, and restaurants.

Batt's many theatre credits include Jeffrey, Saturday Night Fever, La Cage aux Folles, Seussical and Cats.
