BroadwayHD will live stream the Off-Broadway New York premiere of Ernest Shackleton Loves Me June 7 at 8 PM ET with a pre-show feature beginning at 7:45 PM. The show currently plays the Tony Kiser Theatre,

The show will be available on BroadwayHD.com for an on-demand encore until June 24.

The Q Theatricals production features a book by Tony winner Joe DiPietro and a score by GrooveLily’s Valerie Vigoda and Brendan Milburn.

Wade McCollum (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) and Vigoda star in the New York premiere, under the direction of Lisa Peterson. Performances are scheduled to run through June 11.

Ernest Shackleton Loves Me previously played Seattle Repertory Theatre, New Brunswick’s George Street Playhouse, and The Paramount at ArtsEmerson. The innovative, high-tech show follows a sleep-deprived single mom who struggles to work as a video game music composer. Unexpectedly, she is contacted across time by the famous polar explorer, Ernest Shackleton. Inspired by her music, he shares his epic Antarctic journey with her in video and song.

The creative team includes Ryan O’Connell (music direction), Alexander V. Nichols (production design), Chelsea Cook (costume design), and Tony winner Rob Kaplowitz (sound design and original compositions).

For BroadwayHD, Ernest Shackleton Loves Me marks the streaming service’s tenth live stream. Previous titles include She Loves Me, Holiday Inn, Long Day’s Journey into Night, and The Gabriels: Election Year in The Life of One Family. This summer, BroadwayHD will add multiple titles to its on-demand library, including On the Exhale, Daddy Long Legs, and If I Forget. Click here for more information.
