News Broadway's 42nd Street to Welcome Shirley Jones and Patrick Cassidy Shirley Jones and Patrick Cassidy are set to return to Broadway in April.

Variety reports that the mother-and-son duo will join the cast of the Tony-winning revival of 42nd Street for a four-month run. Jones will play Dorothy Brock and Cassidy will be Julian Marsh in the production, which plays the Ford Center for the Performing Arts. Christine Ebersole and Michael Cumpsty created those roles in the hit revival, which began performances in April 2001. Shirley Jones appeared in the Broadway productions of South Pacific and Maggie Flynn, but is best known for her work on the small and silver screens. She was the matriarch of "The Partridge Family" and also starred in the films of "Oklahoma," "Carousel" and "The Music Man." Jones won an Academy Award for her performance in "Elmer Gantry." Patrick Cassidy's Broadway credits include Aida, Annie Get Your Gun, Leader of the Pack and The Pirates of Penzance.

The 42nd Street company currently features Beth Leavel as Dorothy Brock, Patrick Ryan Sullivan as Julian Marsh, David Elder as Billy Lawlor and Nadine Isenegger as Peggy Sawyer.
