Broadway News Broadway’s Anastasia Will Welcome New Principals Zach Adkins and Vicki Lewis The actors will succeed Derek Klena and Caroline O’Connor.

Zach Adkins and Vicki Lewis will step into the respective roles of Dmitry and Countess Lily in the Broadway musical Anastasia beginning March 27. They will succeed Derek Klena and Caroline O'Connor, who, as previously announced, will play their final performances at the Broadhurst Theatre March 25.

Adkins is an original member of the Broadway company of Anastasia, currently appearing in the ensemble and understudying Dmitry. His additional credits include the national tour of Kinky Boots. Lewis starred on Broadway in the revivals of Damn Yankees and Chicago, as well as Wind in the Willows.

The actors will join a company led by Christy Altomare as Anya, John Bolton as Vlad, Max von Essen as Gleb, and Mary Beth Peil as the Dowager Empress.

Anastasia, based on the animated film of the same name, features a book by Terrence McNally, a score by Stephen Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics), and direction by Darko Tresnjak. The production opened on Broadway in April 2017.
