News Broadway's Mary Poppins Welcomes Missal, Flaim, Resheff, Lerner, Baker and Haberfield Broadway's Mary Poppins will school a new family of Banks children in the coming weeks. The Disney musical is set to welcome six young performers who will rotate in the roles of Jane and Michael Banks at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

Catherine Missal (A Tale of Two Cities) and Christopher Flaim (Mary Poppins tour) began performances May 18, while Rachel Resheff (Shrek, Billy Elliot) and David Gabriel Lerner will begin May 25, and Rozi Baker (Shrek) and Ethan Haberfield will join the Broadway company June 4.

All three young actors portraying Michael are making their Broadway debuts with Mary Poppins.

The current cast of Mary Poppins features Laura Michelle Kelly as the famed nanny with the parrot umbrella and Tony Award nominee Christian Borle as Bert. The company also features Karl Kenzler as George Banks, Megan Osterhaus as Winifred Banks, Valerie Boyle as Mrs. Brill, Ann Arvia as Bird Woman, Mark Price as Robertson Ay, Ruth Gottschall as Miss Andrew and Jonathan Freeman as Admiral Boom.

Richard Eyre directs Mary Poppins, which features choreography and co-direction by Matthew Bourne and boasts original songs from the film — with music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman — as well as new songs and additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. Julian Fellowes wrote the book.
