News Broadway's Nice Work If You Can Get It Will Tour Nice Work If You Can Get It, the 2012 Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical that marries a new screwball-comedy plot to old Gershwin songs, will spawn a national touring company, the producers said on May 8.

The show written by Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro (Memphis) and directed and choreographed by Tony winner Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes, Wonderful Town) is now playing the Imperial Theatre. On May 1 it was nominated for ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

The tour will launch in fall 2013. Tour direction is by The Booking Group, which currently oversees the tours of The Book of Mormon, Mamma Mia! and Anything Goes (among others) and also represented the original tours of The Producers and Rent.

The Broadway production, boasting classic songs by composer George Gershwin and lyricist Ira Gershwin, stars two-time Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick as playboy Jimmy Winter and three-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara as bootlegger Billie Bendix, plus Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons as Millicent Winter, Tony Award winner Judy Kaye as Estonia Dulworth, Tony Award nominee Michael McGrath as Cookie McGee, Tony Award nominee Jennifer Laura Thompson as Eileen Evergreen, Chris Sullivan as Duke Mahoney, Robyn Hurder as Jeannie Muldoon, Stanley Wayne Mathis as Chief Berry and Terry Beaver as Senator Max Evergreen.

Nice Work If You Can Get It is produced on Broadway by Scott Landis, Roger Berlind, Sonia Friedman Productions, Roy Furman, Standing CO Vation, Candy Spelling, Freddy DeMann, Ronald Frankel, Harold Newman, Jon B. Platt, Raise the Roof 8, Takonkiet Viravan, William Berlind/Ed Burke, Carole L. Haber/Susan Carusi, Buddy and Barbara Freitag/Sanford Robertson, Under the Wire/Jim Herbert, Emanuel Azenberg and The Shubert Organization.
