News Broadway's Studio 54 Will Reopen for One Night Only Nightclub Event Studio 54, the famed nightclub that was transformed into a Broadway house for Roundabout Theatre Company, will recreate the iconic '70s nightlife scene when the club reopens for a One Night Only event Oct. 18.

SiriusXM is collaborating with members of Studio 54's original team that worked behind the scenes at the club from 1977-1981.

The Studio 54 team includes entertainment producer Karin Bacon, architect Scott Bromley, former doorman Marc Benecke, former head of security Chuck Garelick, former bartender Scott Taylor, and Myra Scheer, assistant to former Studio 54 co-owner Steve Rubell. Original Studio 54 DJs Nicky Siano and Leroy Washington will play '70s dance classics.

Celebrity guests and SiriusXM listeners will be in attendance for One Night Only. The evening, according to Sirius, "will feature authentic, over-the-top details that helped define the Studio 54 experience, including the famed theatrics, backdrops, aerialist performers and dancers."

Studio 54 opened as a Broadway theatre in 1998 with the Roundabout Theatre Company revival of Cabaret. Most recently, Studio 54 has been home to The People in the Picture, Brief Encounter, Sondheim on Sondheim, Wishful Drinking and Waiting for Godot, among others.
