Swenson has withdrawn from the production due to illness. In a statement Scott Altman, general and artistic director of Opera New Jersey, said, "The role of Rosalinde requires a singer with vivacious exuberance, commanding stage presence, and incredible panache along with vocal acrobatics. Lisa Vroman brings all those characteristics and a completely fresh dimension to the role; Opera New Jersey is thrilled to bring an artist of her caliber to our audiences."

Vroman will be part of a cast that also includes Allan Glassman as Eisenstein, Tonio DiPaolo as Alfred, Rachele Gilmore as Adele and Anthony Laciura as Frosh/Blind. Ira Siff directs.

Vroman's theatrical credits also include Les Misérables, Sweeney Todd in Concert, The Tender Land, HMS Pinafore and The Mikado.

Show times are Feb. 13 at 7:30 PM at the McCarter's Matthews Theatre in Princeton, NJ; Feb. 20 at 8 PM at the Community Theatre at the Mayo Center for the Performing Arts in Morristown, NJ; and Feb. 22 at 3 PM at the State Theatre in New Brunswick, NJ.
