News Brooke Shields to Headline Broadway in South Africa Benefit Featuring Burgess, Hunton, Vivino Golden Globe Award-nominated actress Brooke Shields, currently appearing in Leap of Faith at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, will return to New York Oct. 28 to headline a charity event for Broadway in South Africa at The Box.

The doors will open at 8 PM with the show beginning at 9 PM.

Also expected to participate in the event are Sean Bradford (The Scottsboro Boys), Tituss Burgess (The Little Mermaid), Emma Hunton (Spring Awakening), Adam Kantor (Next to Normal), recording artist Kelly King, Tracy McDowell (Rent), singer/songwriter Jeremy Schonfeld, Selloane Nkhela (The Lion King), recording artist and The Box weekly host Raven O., Christopher Spaulding (Curtains), recording artist Yasmeen Sulieman, singer/songwriter Katie Thompson and Donna Vivino (Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me).

Dancers Allyson Carr (Mamma Mia!), Ven Daniel (Legally Blonde), Adam Hart (Mamma Mia!), Kaitana Magno, Whitney Osentoski (Tarzan) and Constantine Rousouli (Hairspray) will perform a contemporary piece choreographed by Isaac Calpito (West Side Story). Choreographer Shea Sullivan will also showcase an original tap piece.

Frankie James Grande (a producer of La Bête) will be the event's co-producer and host. Trapper Felides will provide music direction.

According to press notes, "Guests can expect a singular evening of songs, dance and many surprise, vaudeville-style variety acts, typical of late-night shows produced at" The Box.

Broadway in South Africa seeks to help impoverished South African children by providing them with arts education and allowing them to participate in a cross-cultural exchange with artists seeking to provide positive global change.
