Brooklyn Crush, the musical that was seen Off-Broadway in 2013 under the title F#%king Up Everything, will receive a cast album to be released May 20 by Broadway Records.

The album will feature a new title song written for the updated version of the musical.

“We are so excited to announce the release of our cast album along with its new title, Brooklyn Crush,” producer Jeremy Handelman said in a statement. “The show evolved over the course of its three productions (NYMF, Washington, DC and Off-Broadway) and the new title is a reflection of that evolution. This is a fun and unique rock musical that will be very entertaining to audiences around the country and beyond.”

Written by David Eric Davis and Sam Forman, the cast recording features Max Crumm (Disaster, Grease), Lisa Birnbaum (I'm Getting My Act Together...), Dawn Cantwell (Wicked, The Last Ship), Katherine Cozumel (Young Like Us), Jason Gotay (Spiderman, Turn Off the Dark, Bring It On), George Salazar (Godspell, Spring Awakening) and Douglas Widick (Blank: The Musical).

The cast will reunite for a concert to celebrate the cast album release May 16 at the Cutting Room. Visit thecuttingroomnyc.com.

Brooklyn Crush is billed as “an irreverent and energetic contemporary rock musical comedy with an old-fashioned boy-meets-girl love story. When these Brooklyn hipsters aren’t true to who they are, they ruin everything. Especially children’s puppeteer Christian Schwartzelberg (Max Crumm) when he meets the girl of his dreams, singer-songwriter Juliana (Katherine Cozumel).

Brooklyn Crush is produced for records by Michael Croiter.
