A live recording of the new musical Brooklyn is set to hit stores around the country Dec. 14.

Available on the Brooklyn Records label, the new CD is being distributed by Razor & Tie. Brooklyn — featuring a score by Mark Schoenfeld and Barri McPherson — was recorded live in front of an invited studio audience and was produced by John McDaniel, who is the show's musical supervisor. Directed and choreographed by Big River's Jeff Calhoun, Brooklyn began previews Sept. 23 and officially opened Oct. 21 at the Plymouth Theatre. Eden Espinosa, who portrays the title character Brooklyn, is featured in a company that also includes Kevin Anderson, Cleavant Derricks, Ramona Keller and Karen Olivo with Manoel Felciano, Caren Lyn Manuel, Julie Reiber, Horace V. Rogers and Haneefah Wood.
