News Bruce Vilanch, Lesli Margherita and More Will Headline Free Reading of I Had A Ball July 24 Unsung Musicals Company will continue its 2014 developmental reading series at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center with a special presentation of the 1964 musical comedy I Had A Ball July 24 at 2:30 PM.

According to press notes, "With a book by Tony Award winner Jerome Chodorov and a score by Stan Freeman & Jack Lawrence, this vibrant, colorful confection follows the delightfully eccentric denizens of Coney Island and the feisty fortune-teller who singlehandedly sets off a series of raucous romantic entanglements." The reading will feature Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita (Matilda, Zorro), Danny Rutigliano (Born Yesterday), Steve Luker (42nd Street), Liz Pearce (Billy Elliot), Natalie Venetia Belcon (Matilda, Avenue Q) and Emmy Award winner Bruce Vilanch (Hairspray, “Hollywood Squares”).

The reading is free and will take place at Bruno Walter Auditorium at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts (111 Amsterdam Ave).
