News Buchanan, Chamberlain, Doyle and Hanes Will Be Moving Forward, Looking Back March 26 Moving Forward, Looking Back is the title of a new musical revue celebrating the songs of Michael Mahler.

Conceived by Mahler and Jessica Redish, the revue will be presented March 26 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, which is located within the West Bank Café. Show time is 7 PM. Redish will direct and choreograph a cast that includes Michael Buchanan (Jeff Award winner, Urinetown), Andrea Chamberlain (The Drowsy Chaperone), Caitlin Doyle (San Francisco's Last Five Years), Tyler Hanes (A Chorus Line) and Tommar Wilson (Lestat).

Moving Forward, Looking Back, according to press notes, concerns "five twentysomethings working it out in the big city — dealing with dreams, day jobs, failed romances and attempts at new ones." Composer Mahler also penned How Can You Run With a Shell on Your Back?, which is currently playing the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located in Manhattan at 402 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue. There is an $11 cover and a $15 food/drink minimum; call (212) 695-6909 for reservations.
