The production joins Peter Pan in rep, both produced by impresario Raymond Gubbay, who has taken up residency at the Savoy Theatre.

Anthony Head, taking a break from fighting vampires and demons in TV’s “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” is doubling up as Peter Pan’s Captain Hook and Pirates' Pirate King. While the Pan sticks closely to the original book, the Pirates is pitched closer to musical theatre than either the original D’Oyly Carte style or the rock-stylings of Joseph Papp’s famous production. Kathryn Evans plays Ruth, with Jack Chissick the Major General. Steven Dexter directs, with designs by Francis O’Connor and lighting by Andrew Bridge.
