News Burning Desire, Written by and Starring Lou Diamond Phillips, Makes World Premiere Tonight Burning Desire, a new play written by and starring Tony nominee Lou Diamond Phillips, makes its world premiere beginning Feb. 18 at Connecticut's Seven Angels Theatre.

The Equity production continues through March 13. Richard Zavaglia directs.

The cast also includes Tara Franklin, Ryan Wesley Gilreath, Jackie Aitken and Sophie Lee Morris.

Burning Desire, according to press notes, is a "story about the Devil (Lou Diamond Phillips) and a modern day Adam and Eve. He makes them fall in love and then gets his fun by creating havoc in their lives. Will they sell their soul for True Love? Come find out in this comedic look at what it means to be in love, when it seems all odds are against you."

Lou Diamond Phillips received a Tony nomination for his role in the 1996 Broadway revival of The King and I. He is best known for such movies as "La Bamba," "Young Guns," "Courage Under Fire" and "Stand and Deliver."

Seven Angels is located at 1 Plank Road, Historic Hamilton Park Pavilion in Waterbury, CT.
