News Burns, Magnuson and Bohon Set for Wagner’s An Evening of (mostly) True Songs A host of theatre favorites will take part in An Evening of (mostly) True Songs, which spotlights the work of up-n-coming composer-lyricist Adam Wagner.

The Sept. 10 and 11 concerts at the Laurie Beechman Theatre will feature the talents of Songs for a New World’s Andrea Burns, Sweeney Todd’s Benjamin Magnuson, Oklahoma!’s Justin Bohon and The Full Monty’s Aaron Kaburick as well as Chris Fuller and Katie Klaus. Show time is 7 PM both nights. Richard H. Hess will direct the concerts, which will include additional music by Magnuson and musical direction and song arrangements by Zachary Dietz. Julie Danielson will be featured on bass.

Composer Adam Wagner is a 2005 graduate of the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. His original revue, Don’t Look Down, was presented last June as part of the Cincinnati Fringe Festival and received the 2005 Cincinnati Entertainment Award for Best Alternative Production and a Cincinnati Enquirer Acclaim Award.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located in Manhattan at 407 West 42nd Street, west of Ninth Avenue. There is a $5 cover charge and a $15 food/beverage minimum. Call (212) 695-6909 for reservations.
