News Busch and Seldes Will Be Part of Love 'N' Courage Benefit Love 'N' Courage is the title of the sixth annual benefit for Theater for the New City's Emerging Playwrights Program.

Playwright-actor Charles Busch will host the Feb. 9, 2009, event, which will be held in Manhattan at the National Arts Club. Tony Award-winning actress Marian Seldes will perform; other artists will be announced at a later date. The evening will begin at 6:30 PM with cocktails followed by dinner at 7 PM and the performances at 8 PM.

Theatre for the New City is a long-running bastion for new theatrical works. The organization's mission is to offer "love and encouragement" to these artists with its Emerging Playwrights Program, which was established in 1971. The program represents 60 percent of the nearly 40 new plays produced annually by Theater for the New City.
