You won't find Chris Jackson who plays Adult Simba in The Lion King, or Damian Perkins, who plays Mereb in Aida, strolling around their Broadway stages wearing tuxedo shirts. But magazine readers will get to see them and some other Broadway dudes dressed up and walking through midtown Manhattan in a spread for DNR menswear fashion magazine. Other Broadway boys in the fashion layout include Beauty and the Beast's Bryan Batt, Cabaret emcee Michael Curry and Urinetown's Lawrence E. Street.
DNR, a fashion weekly, hits the stands Oct. 9. According to a Boneau/Bryan-Brown spokesperson, the Times Square photo shoot was done Oct. 2 to support Broadway and encourage people to see shows and "experience what New York has to offer."
