Alan Thicke returns to the role of Chicago's Billy Flynn on Broadway for one week only, June 26-July 1, before Brent Barrett takes the part July 2.
In the Broadway and touring companies of Chicago, both Thicke and Barrett have played the role of the slick, sleazy lawyer, Billy. The smash revival of the Bob Fosse-John Kander Fred Ebb musical about getting away with murder continues to knock them dead at the Shubert Theatre.
Thicke is widely known for the TV sitcom, "Growing Pains," and Barrett is fresh from playing Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun, starring Reba McEntire at the Marquis Theatre. (He leaves Annie... June 22, the same day Reba exits.) Barrett is no stranger to Kander and Ebb's work: He recorded a solo CD, "The Kander & Ebb Album."
Chicago tickets range $20-$90. For information, call (212) 239-6200.
