The Broadway comedy, Jackie, closed at the Belasco Theatre Mar. 1 after 128 performances. Look for Gip Hoppe's farcical study of the Kennedy clan to reach London in the not-too-distant future. Spokesperson Pete Sanders told Playbill On-Line talks will be held next week (mid-March) to bring Margaret Colin, who starred as Jackie on Broadway, to London in the show.

Jackie: An American Life opened on Broadway Nov. 10. Hoppe's surreal farce looked at the life of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, with eight actors playing dozens of different characters.

Colin was previously seen onstage in John Patrick Shanley's Psychopathia Sexualis and on movie screens in Independence Day. Colin also starred Off-Broadway in Donald Margulies' Sight Unseen (1992) and received a Drama Desk nomination for her work in Manhattan Theatre Club's 1989 staging of Brian Friel's Aristocrats.

Although Jackie's Broadway run received comparatively low box office and audiences numbers, the show kept running for several weeks because overhead costs were low.
