News Cabaret Emcee Jon Secada Performs at Next "Broadway in Bryant Park," Aug. 7 Current Cabaret star Jon Secada will take part in the next "Broadway in Bryant Park" series Aug. 7.

Secada will be on hand to sing "I Don't Care Much" from the John Kander-Fred Ebb musical and give audiences a special treat, singing his pop hit "If You Go." Heather Laws, understudy for Melina Kanakaredes, will sing "Maybe This Time" and "Cabaret" with Secada.

Singer-songwriter Secada has won two Grammy Awards. Among his popular songs include "Just Another Day," "Angel" and "Do You Believe in Us?" The star — who has written songs for such singers as Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez and Mandy Moore — appeared last on Broadway in the revival of Grease as Danny Zuko.

The radio station 106.7 Lite FM presents "Broadway in Bryant Park" which plays every Thursday through Aug. 21 from 12:30 PM-2 PM at the midtown green. The event features excerpts from some of the current and upcoming Broadway and Off Broadway musicals.
