Alan Cumming, who recently celebrated the release of his new book, "Tommy's Tale," will take part in a reading and signing of the debut novel at Barnes & Noble, Sept. 9. The event will take place at the B&N Chelsea location at 675 Sixth Avenue (at 22nd Street) 7-8PM.
"Tommy's Tale" follows the story of a wild and crazy 29-going-on-30 Londoner who is faced with the decision of continuing his sex, drugs and party lifestyle or settling down with his boyfriend and becoming a father. The book — a 272-page hardcover published by HarperCollins Publishers — is available in stores now.
The Tony Award winner for his portrayal of the Emcee in his Broadway debut of Cabaret was last on The Great White Way in a revival of Noel Coward's Design for Living. The Scottish-born thespian has also appeared in films such as "Eyes Wide Shut," "Circle of Friends," Lion King director Julie Taymor's feature-film debut "Titus," "Spy Kids" and "The Anniversary Party" — which he co-wrote, co-directed and co-starred with Cabaret co-star Jennifer Jason Leigh.
