In the role of Ryan is "Nashville" actor Tilky Jones; Molly McCook plays Marissa Cooper; "Pretty Little Liars"' Brendan Robinson is Seth Cohen; and Greer Grammer, from "Awkward," plays Summer.

Original "O.C." star Autumn Reeser is also featured among the cast, in the role of Marissa's mother, Julie Cooper. The principal cast is completed by Rick Consett as Sandy Cohen, Drew Seeley as Luke Ward, Christine Lakin as Kirsten Cohen and Jarett Wieselman as Josh Schwartz.

The Unauthorized O.C. Musical is co-created by Jordan Ross and Lindsey Rosin. As previously reported, rather than attempting to condense four seasons worth of material into one musical, the creators decided to focus on the pilot episode, in which bad boy Ryan arrives to Newport and falls for Marissa. The musical also draws on music from all four seasons.

"We both really loved the television show. It’s the voice of our generation," Ross told Entertainment Weekly earlier this year. "The Unauthorized O.C. Musical comes from the fact that we just love this television show just as much as everybody else does."
