Tony nominee Liz Callaway is re-teaming with her sister, Tony-nominated cabaret star and recording artist Ann Hampton Callaway, for three encore performances of their sister act club show Sibling Revelry, November 18–19 at the Rubicon Theatre Company in Ventura, California
Liz, who made her Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along, earned her Tony nomination for Baby, in which she debuted one of her signature numbers, “The Story Goes On.“ She sang the Academy Award-nominated song “Journey to the Past” in the animated feature Anastasia and is also the singing voice of Princess Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin and the King of Thieves and The Return of Jafar.
Ann was Tony-nominated for her performance in the Broadway revue Swing!, and has been a special guest performer with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall and Tanglewood, and is featured at many Carnegie Hall tributes. Together, the sisters recorded the jazzy theme song for the TV series The Nanny.
The two have performed Sibling Revelry on and off since 1995 at venues around the U.S. Their set will include “Happy,” “Happy Days Are Here Again,” “It’s Today,” “The Sweetest Sounds,” “Friendship,” and “Meadowlark.”
They will give three performances in Ventura, 2 and 8 PM November 18, and 2 PM November 19, supported by their music director and accompanist Alex Rybeck.
