Young theatre enthusiasts looking to better understand the workings of the theatre will attend an urban camp in New York City Aug. 9-13 Camp Broadway begins its fourth summer of theatre arts classes and master classes with Broadway professionals Aug. 9 at Cap 21 Studios, 18 W. 18th Street in Manhattan. The weeklong camp draws students from around the world. Young people age 10-17 will take classes this year from puppeteer Bill Huber from puppet department of The Lion King, makeup designer Ruth Pongstaphone of The Scarlet Pimpernel, dancers Josh Rhodes and Deb Leamy from Fosse, cast members from Stomp and tapper Peter Marx, of Annie Get Your Gun. More master classes are still being confirmed.

The week includes lunchtime chats with Broadway professionals.

Campers will develop their own production numbers for the week's finale, "The Gypsy Challenge."
