News Carl Anderson's Life Celebrated May 10 at Broadway's Ford Center The life of late actor and singer Carl Anderson will be celebrated 7 PM May 10 at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts on West 42nd Street in Manhattan.

Family, friends, celebrities and industry professionals will pay tribute to Anderson, perhaps best known as Judas in the film and stage show, Jesus Christ Superstar. Musical performances and brief eulogies will be part of the memorial.

The guest list and participants include film director Norman Jewison who directed Anderson in the film, "Jesus Christ Superstar," composer Frank Wildhorn, recording artist and stage actress Linda Eder and dancer-actor Desmond Richardson.

Also paying tribute will be the current touring cast of Jesus Christ Superstar, including Natalie Toro, Perry Brown, Ryan Mason, Darlesia Cearcy, Lawson Skala and John B. Williford. Other friends and colleagues that will lend their musical talents are Danny Zolli, Mike Eldred and Michael Lanning.

The memorial service is open to the public, however seating is limited. Donations will be accepted and proceeds will go to the Carl Anderson Fund.

* Anderson, who in recent seasons had been touring in his most famous role in a new revival of the Andrew Lloyd Webber hit, died Feb. 23 after a battle with leukemia. He was 58.
