News Carmen Ruby Floyd to Offer An Eclectic Musical Evening at the Triad An Eclectic Musical Evening: From Rock to Opera and Her Journey in Between is the title of Carmen Ruby Floyd's upcoming concert at The Triad in Manhattan.

Part of the Just a Piano concert series, the Aug. 16 evening is scheduled to begin at 9 PM. Floyd will be accompanied by Michael Mitchell on piano. "Influenced by her family's gospel choir," press notes state, "her father's faith in rock-n-roll, her mother's love of movie musicals and her own personal fascination with Barbra, Lena, Billie and Nina, Carmen Ruby Floyd will take us on a thrilling 'Just A Piano' musical journey."

Carmen Ruby Floyd has been seen on Broadway in Avenue Q and The Lion King and Off-Broadway in Crowns and Little Ham. She will soon be featured on ABC's "One Life To Live."
