News Carol Burnett Will Be Honored With Naming of Carol Burnett Square in Los Angeles Tony Award recipient Carol Burnett will be honored April 18 when the intersection of Highland Avenue and Selma Avenue in Hollywood, CA, will be officially named Carol Burnett Square.

According to CBS Los Angeles, the city of L.A. is honoring Burnett for her lifetime achievements in show business. The intersection, next to Hollywood High School, was chosen because the school was Burnett's alma mater and because she grew up in Hollywood.

Burnett is scheduled to be in attendance at the open unveiling of the Carol Burnett Square plaque April 18 at 2 PM.

Burnett, who received a Special Tony Award in 1969, was nominated for her performances in Once Upon a Mattress and Moon Over Buffalo. She has also been seen on Broadway in Putting It Together and Fade Out – Fade In.
