The Publicists Awards honor industry executives, members of the media and publicists who have made outstanding contributions in the promotion of motion pictures and television programs. Sylvester Stallone received the 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award. Previous recipients have included George Burns, Lew Wasserman, Warren Beatty, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Clint Eastwood, Julie Andrews, Harrison Ford and Robert Zemeckis.
Burnett won a special Tony Award in 1969. She was nominated for Tony Awards for her performances in Once Upon a Mattress and Moon Over Buffalo. She has also been seen on Broadway in Fade Out-Fade In, Putting It Together and Hollywood Arms. Burnett is also an Emmy Award winner and known for her television variety show "The Carol Burnett Show."
