Her performance is part of the University’s Celebrate & Advance Week, culminating in the inauguration of Dr. Robert J. Jones as the 19th president of the University.
The University’s Alumni Association is hosting a dessert reception with Carmello in the Performing Arts Center's lounge immediately after the performance. Space is limited; reservations can be made at www.albany.edu/alumni.
Carmello is a three-time Tony nominee for her roles in Lestat, Parade and, most recently, Scandalous: The Life and Trials of Aimee Semple McPherson.
Advance tickets for the performance are $15 for the general public and $10 for students, seniors and UAlbany faculty-staff. On Sept. 25, from 11 AM-noon, Carmello will offer a master class in the UAlbany Performing Arts Center. Participating will be students hand-selected by the Music Department’s vocal instructor Frances Pallozzi Wittmann. Observers are welcome and need only bring their ticket stub from Tuesday evening’s performance for entrance to the event.
