Carolyn McCormick, late of Off-Broadway's Dinner With Friends, table-hops to Broadway's The Dinner Party beginning July 2, replacing Jan Maxwell in the role of Mariette.

This is the Broadway debut of McCormick. She joins Larry Miller, Jon Lovitz, Len Cariou, Penny Fuller and Veanne Cox in the hit Neil Simon comedy about marriage, divorce and emotional leftovers, set in a Paris restaurant. With July 2, the production begins a new schedule — Monday evenings have been added, Sunday matinees are dropped.

Performances continue at the Music Box Theatre.

Lovitz and Miller sat down for Dinner June 12, playing two of three men tricked into dining with their ex-wives in the bittersweet comedy. They replaced Henry Winkler and John Ritter, respectively, who created the roles when the play premiered at the Mark Taper Forum in late 1999.

Penny Fuller was nominated for a Tony Award for her role in the play. John Rando (Urinetown, the upcoming A Thousand Clowns) directed The Dinner Party. The Music Box is at 239 W. 45th Street. For tickets to The Dinner Party, call (212) 239-6200.
