The B Street Theatre of Sacramento, CA celebrates the season with an adult and children's bill for this year's holiday season -- the world premiere Bearing Gifts and the Fantasy Theatre's Fantasy of Firsts, With a Twist of St. Nick. Gifts runs Nov. 28-Jan. 3, with an opening Nov. 29, and Fantasy plays a one week Christmas engagment from Dec. 21-26 (minus a Christmas Day performance).

Gifts is the story of down-and-out police dectective Rick Seegin who returns from a mandatory leave of absence from the force to solve the possible murder of department store Santa Claus, as well as reunite with his wife and daughter.

B Street resident actor Kurt Johnson stars as Seegin. Also in the cast are Mitch Agress, Caitlin Barrrett, Mehera Dadachanji and David Pierini.

Fantasy of Firsts is the Fantasy Theatre's comic collection of plays that tell the tales of famous and failed inventors from George Crumb, inventor of the potato chip, to Louis Pasteur, discoverer of the germ. The With a Twist of St. Nick comes with the Theatre's annual look at the Twelve Days of Christmas.

The Fantasy Theatre actors are John Lamb, Phil Kasinski, Julianne Somer and Pam Peters. Tickets for Bearing Gifts are $19.50-$5; tickets for Fantasy of Firsts, With a Twist of St. Nick are $4 for children and $8 for adults. For tickets to both shows, call (916) 422-5635. Both productions will play at the B Street Theatre at 2711 B Street.
