5th Avenue executive producer and artistic director David Armstrong will stage the musical that has a score by David Kirshenbaum and a book by Jack Heifner, based on his own play of the same name. Vanities will run Feb. 4-May 1, 2011, at ACT. Kirshenbaum and Heifner will be involved in the Seattle bow, which could incorporate revisions to the musical since its New York run in 2009, according to a representative. Seattle-based actresses Ilika, Johnson and Wildrick will play Kathy, Joanne and Mary, respectively.

Ian Eisendrath will serve as musical director. The creative team will also include set designer Matthew Smucker, costume designer Catherine Hunt, lighting designer Tom Sturge and sound designer Ken Travis.

According to producers, "Vanities: A New Musical is a funny, sexy and poignant look at the journey of three All-American girls as they mature from cheerleaders to sorority sisters to independent women."

Tickets will go on sale Aug. 17. Phone (206) 625-1900 or visit 5thAvenue.
