News Cast Announced for The Promise, the Opening Production of Final Donmar Trafalgar Season in London Casting for The Promise, the first production in the final Donmar Trafalgar season in London, in which former resident assistant directors of the company return to stage their own full productions under the Donmar banner, has been announced.

The Promise, which begins performances Nov. 15 prior to an official opening Nov. 19 for a run through Dec. 8, will see Alex Sims directing Max Bennett, Gwilym Lee and Joanna Vanderham in Penelope Skinner’s new version of Aleksei Arbuzov's play.

Future productions in the season have Titas Halder directing Strindberg'sThe Dance of Death in a new version by Conor McPherson and Simon Evans directing The Silence of the Sea in a version by Anthony Weigh.

The RAD scheme at the Donmar has been supported by Jon and NoraLee Sedmak and the Sedmak Wooten Family Foundation since 2003.
