News Cast Announced for The Silence of the Sea, Part of London's Donmar Trafalgar Season Casting has been announced for The Silence of the Sea, which begins performances at London's Trafalgar Studio 2 Jan. 10, 2013, prior to an official opening Jan. 14, for a run through Feb. 2, as pat of the Donmar Trafalgar season.

Simon Evans, a former resident associate director of the Donmar Warehouse, directs Leo Bill, Simona Bitmaté and Finbar Lynch in Anthony Weigh's version of Vercors' play.

In a time of conflict, a soldier (Bill) is billeted to the home of an old man (Lynch) and his niece (Bitmaté). Powerless to turn him away, they resist him with silence - a silence that becomes their most potent weapon. According to press materials, the play examines an excruciating dilemma faced by both the occupier and the occupied.
