Flesh and Blood is adapted by Peter Gaitens from the novel by Michael Cunningham (Pulitzer Prize-winning "The Hours"). The story follows three generations of an American family over 100 years from their 1930 New York arrival.
Doug Hughes (Scattergood, Othello) directs the production. The design team includes Christine Jones (sets), Paul Tazewell (costumes), Scott Zielinski (lighting) and David Van Tieghem (sound) — who also provides original music.
The cast includes Jones, Plimpton, Hecht, Patricia Buckley, Airrion Doss, Sean Dugan, Peter Frechette, Peter Gaitens, Chris McGarry, John Sierros, and Jeff Weiss.
Actress Jones, who appeared in "Signs," recently played in the Broadway production of Imaginary Friends. Plimpton, known for roles in such films as "Running on Empty," was last seen in David Mamet's Boston Marriage at the Public Theatre. Hecht, who played in The Last Night of Ballyhoo on Broadway, recently starred in The Fourth Sister. Frechette's recent credits include What the Butler Saw and The Dazzle. McGarry plays in Salome on Broadway and appeared in Where's My Money? Weiss has played on Broadway in The Invention of Love, The Iceman Cometh and Ivanov.
