International News Cast Complete for U.K. and Ireland Grease Tour

Nikolai Foster will again direct with choreography by Arlene Phillips.

Following a summer engagement in 2022 and the encore run at London's Dominion Theatre, Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey’s 1950s-set musical Grease will tour the U.K. and Ireland later this year.

Again directed by Nikolai Foster with choreography by Arlene Phillips, the tour will launch April 12 at Bromley's Churchill Theatre and continue through November 16 with a final engagement at the Bromley Lyceum Theatre in Sheffield. Additional performances have recently been added in Dublin, Manchester, and Newcastle.

The cast will feature Marley Fenton (Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends) as Danny, Hope Dawe as Sandy, Rebecca Stenhouse (Legally Blonde U.K. tour) as Rizzo, George Michaelides (Disney’s Newsies) as Kenickie, Kieran Lynch (The Adventures of Peter Pan) as Doody, Lewis Day (Beauty and the Beast) as Roger, Sario Solomon (Pacific Overtures) as Sonny, Alicia Belgarde (Bugsy Malone U.K. tour) as Frenchy, Emerald B as Jan, India Chadwick (P.S I’m A Terrible Person) as Marty, Jayd’n Tyrone (Grease) as Eugene, Phoebe Roberts (Mamma Mia! international and U.K. tour) as Patty Simcox, Dominique Planter (The Lion King) as Miss Lynch, Joe Gash (Rock of Ages U.K. tour) as Vince Fontaine and Teen Angel, Deena Kapadia (Death Note) as Cha Cha, and Adam Davidson (Mary Poppins,) as Johnny Casino.

They will be joined by Zera Aitken, Dylan Gordon-Jones, Sergi Ibanez, Thomas Inge, Lauren Hampton, Imogen Malone, Ben Middleton, and Carly Miles.

This production of Grease has designs by Colin Richmond, orchestrations and musical supervision by Tony winner Sarah Travis, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Tom Marshall and Richard Brooker, video and projection design by Douglas O’Connell, and casting by David Grindrod.

Grease opened in Chicago in 1971 and subsequently on Broadway in February 1972, where it received seven Tony nominations, including one for Best Musical. The original Broadway production played 20 previews and 3,388 regular performances. Richard Gere starred as Danny Zuko in the 1973 London premiere. The 1978 blockbuster film adaptation starred John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.
