Jo Bonney (Some Girl(s), subUrbia) directs the debut, which is slated to begin previews at the downtown stage Jan. 17, 2007, and open Feb. 6 for a run through March 11.
From the Academy Award-winning pen of "American Beauty" writer (and "Six Feet Under" creator) comes Ball's first new play in more than a dozen years. The tale that unfolds is "seen through the eyes of two young men in Los Angeles, one a privileged native Angeleno (Lysy), the other an enigmatic immigrant from the Middle East (Macdissi)."
Playbill.com previously reported on the casting of Macdissi ("Six Feet Under"), Lysy (The Water's Edge, Hobson's Choice) and Darragh (The Ruby Sunrise, Our Town). The ensemble will also feature Edmundson ("Inside Man," "C.S.I."), Margulies (Wonderful Town, Angels in America) and Slezak (The Graduate, Jackie).
The design team includes Neil Patel (scenic), Emilio Sosa (costumes), David Lander (lighting) and Darron L West (sound). Larry K. Ash serves as production stage manager.
