Full casting and creative team have been revealed for The Tank's previously announced upcoming world premiere of Kev Berry's Rough Trade, beginning performances March 17 ahead of a March 18 opening night. The limited run will continue through April 8.
Starring will be Remy Germinario (More Than All the World), Max Kantor (Lazy Philosophy), Derek Christopher Murphy (Love That Dog), and Gabriel Neumann (Imogen Says Nothing).
Joining director Alex Tobey on the creative team will be scenic designer Brendan Gonzales Boston, costume designer Jason Lewis, lighting designer Jonathan Cottle, sound designer Amelia Way, and projection designer Cleo Perez. Michael Sheehan is line producer, and Max Mooney is stage manager. The complete cast and creative team are all queer.
The new play follows gay friends Bunting and Finch as they balance day jobs with the visual arts careers they'd rather be doing and nights out at the gay bars in Hell's Kitchen. The work explores gay New York and, according to press notes, "how toxic and self-destructive it can be."
