Frozen’s Kate Bailey, Mean Girls’ Kevin Csolak, Summer: The Donna Summer Musical’s Kimberly Dodson, and The Prom’s Wayne “Juice” Mackins have all been named to The Ensemblist’s inaugural “Ones to Watch” List.
The online advocate for artists working in the choruses of Broadway and across the country, The Ensemblist recently named the recipients of the annual Ensemblist Awards—recognizing veteran ensemblist talent. This new recognition focuses on rising talent.
“Earlier this month, we celebrated some of Broadway’s most venerated ensemble actors with the Fifth Annual Ensemblist Awards,” says The Ensemblist creator Mo Brady. “However, we wanted to find a way to celebrate and champion the exciting new talent hitting Broadway stages this year as well. That’s how our new ‘Ones to Watch’ list was born.”
Bailey recently appeared in the national tour of Something Rotten! and makes her Broadway debut with Disney’s Frozen. Csolak made his Broadway debut in How the Grinch Stole Christmas years ago, but makes a comeback in Broadway’s Mean Girls. Dodson was part of the Paper Mill Playhouse company of A Bronx Tale The Musical, but made her Broadway debut with Summer: The Donna Summer Musical. Mackins just made his Broadway debut in The Prom.
The Ensemblist shares new interviews with these actors as well as original photography on its website from December 26–29.
